Some, Any  


Some
Some is used with the plural form of countable nouns, and with uncountable nouns.
a pen, some pens (countable noun, plural)
some water (uncountable noun)
Some is used in positive sentences.


There is some milk in the fridge.
(milk = uncountable noun)
I did some exercises.
(exercises = plural countable noun)
We use some in offers.

Would you like some tea?
(tea = uncountable noun)
We use some in requests.

Could you give me some advice, please?
(advice = uncountable noun)
Can I have some water, please?

Any 
We use any with the plural form of countable nouns, and with uncountable nouns.
